Bay Lake
Bay Lake earned its name for a good reason—it’s formed from a series of distinct bays, each with its own unique characteristics. At 14.5 acres, it’s the largest lake in the Les Quis complex and an absolute favourite among anglers.
Why Fish Bay Lake?
As the most heavily stocked lake on the complex, Bay Lake is considered a “runs water,” with multiple takes often occurring in a single session. While the average carp size is slightly smaller, it’s packed with surprises. It’s not unusual to land a double-figure carp one moment and a stunning 40-pounder the next. The lake has also produced three different carp over 50 pounds, with the largest tipping the scales at 55 pounds!
Exciting Features and Fishing Spots
What makes Bay Lake so exhilarating is its unpredictability. The margins are lined with overhanging trees, offering excellent fishing opportunities, while beds of lily pads create classic carp-holding spots. Each bay is separated by shallow bars—prime locations to target carp as they transition between bays.
The competitive nature of the carp in Bay Lake means a little and often baiting strategy can be highly effective. The sound of bait hitting the water frequently attracts carp to your swim, making it perfect for action-packed sessions.
Swim Setup and Social Vibes
Bay Lake features eight swims, including three doubles, designed for sociable fishing. On the point of the lake, there are four swims available, depending on the positioning of other anglers, ensuring everyone has ample space to fish comfortably.
Fast Action, Big Rewards
If you’re seeking fast-paced fishing with the chance of landing a monster carp, Bay Lake is the place to be. It combines high action with the thrill of big surprises, making it perfect for anglers of all skill levels.
