- Keep rigs simple, but effective
- Minimum 2.5oz weights recommended
- Barbless hooks are compulsory, size 6’s or 4’s are recommended - Ensure very sharp
- Do not back lead - recommended
- Baiting little and often rather than big beds of bait
- Consider 6FT zig rig (Highly successful day or night)
- Fish for one take at a time and bait accordingly
- Be observant whilst fishing and look for signs of feeding/bubbling fish at all times
- Be prepared to move to another swim as conditions dictate
- You should bring bait mesh and use coated braid to avoid poisson chat related problems with presentation.
- In extreme cases without mesh your hook bait can be whittled away within one hour.
- Paste around a meshed boilie will eliminate the hook snagging the mesh during casting.
