Fishery Rules


3 Rod Limit

  • Regardless of the species you are fishing for, a maximum of 3 rods only is applied at all times, including nights and remote swims.

Tackle

  • Hooks - Barbless hooks only, barb crushing is not acceptable.
  • No leaders or leadcore are permitted in whatever form.
  • (Remember: the mainline must be tied directly to the hooklink swivel, NOTHING IN-BETWEEN).
  • 15lb minimum breaking strain mono main line.
  • No braided fishing line is permitted - mono only.
  • The only exception for braid being used on the complex is on a marker rod.
  • No prolonged retention or sacking of carp.
  • If you need time to organise yourself to photograph a fish use your landing net to keep the fish in the water, whilst you get yourself organised.
  • Ensure that your end tackle is safe and cannot tether fish in the event of the main line parting.

Bait

  • STRICTLY BOILIES ONLY.
  • Catapults and Throwing sticks ONLY - No spodding.
  • NO particles, including all pellets/stick mixes of any description or dog biscuits.
  • No plastic/ imitation baits.

Boating and Swimming

  • Rowing boats to be manned by bailiffs only, life preservers must be worn at all times.
  • Swimming in any of the lakes is strictly prohibited.

Litter

  • Swims and surrounding area must be kept clean and tidy for the duration of your trip.
  • If litter is found in your swim on arrival, notify the bailiff immediately, if you choose to leave litter in your swim the bailiff that takes over will notify the booking‘s department and no future bookings will be taken in your name.

In Brief

  • Please be aware that the rules we have in place on the complex are for the future benefit of the angler, the fish and the fishery.
  • This complex is managed by carp anglers and the implementation of the above rules is considered crucial for the long term good of firstly the fish and the fishery itself.
  • In the event of any clarification being required by any angler on the complex in relation to any of the rules detailed above please speak to your bailiff - before casting out !!
  • If an angler is found to be breaking any of the rules as detailed above, the bailiff will simply instruct the individual to pack up all their tackle immediately and arrange transport for them to the train station for repatriation to the UK, at their expense. Regardless of time of day or circumstances.
