Unnecessary items

Excessive bait, if you choose to bring your own bait we restrict to maximum of 40KG per angler.

This year it has become necessary to impose a 40kg of bait maximum to any individual angler's luggage allowance. This is solely due to a fairly recent trend towards very large quantities of bait being taken to the lakes by an increasing number of anglers which we have seen generally resulting in a large proportion being taken back home at the end of the week because it was not required during their week's fishing. This has meant that on the outward journey the coach and trailer are becoming increasingly overloaded and we simply can't accommodate this growing trend.

The second factor in relation to this issue and perhaps just as important is that we all know the benefits as fisherman of fresh bait which is of known good composition and condition for the best possible results at any water. We do not feel that bait that has been subjected to a round trip of France and back, and possibly back again during which time it has been kept outside for over a week of it's life in varying degrees of humidity since it's manufacture gives you the best possible chance of maximising your catch.

You certainly wouldn't consider treating your own food like it!
